Spirit Mountain hosts an annual snowmobile event known far and wide as the biggest, oldest and boldest race of its kind: the AMSOIL Duluth National Snocross. For extreme sports fans, there’s simply no better place to be Thanksgiving weekend. Created by Visit Duluth in 1992, it’s become the kickoff event for the world’s leading professional snowmobile racing circuit. At the "Nats" 23, you’ll see the world’s best snowmobile racing, period, along with a new products expo, fireworks and more.
Sanctioned by the International Series of Champions (ISOC), snowmobiling’s premier sanction body, pro riders compete in Duluth for the prestigious C.J. Ramstad Memorial Cup. The race is part of the AMSOIL Champion Snocross Series: with high-flying aerial displays, jumps, jolts and high-speed runs, it all plays out on tons of man-made snow. That includes Friday’s AMSOIL Dominator Race, a winner-take-all format featuring the 16 top Snocross racers on the planet facing off in one-on-one showdowns until only one racer is left standing.
