18 Year old JC Hupe works as a dental assistant by day and spends her free time on motocross and snocross race machines. Part of family owned Animal Racing, JC has had some great success in her young career, racing for 8 years already. “ I  have ridden snowmobiles as long as I can remember. My mom and sister both raced and got me interested in the sport,” said JC Hupe who last season won the CJ Ramstad race held at
Duluth in April and placed second in all her  finals except for last years  Duluth opener where she finished 3rd. “ We missed a race last year so I placed 5th overall in the Pro Womens class. This year there are 6 Pro Women races and we plan to be at all of them.”
“ We don’t have a lot of sponsorship because of the economy. Arctic Cat has come on board and done quite a bit for JC this year but we are mainly running on our own resources. Smith’s RV, TransImport and Rudnicki Industrial also have helped,” said Lana Hupe, JC's mother.  “ You can consider JC number 1 in Canada because she has beat Angela
Vaccino who was previous No 1.”
“ I have the sled from last year 2008 Arctic Cat SNOPRO600 with some updates but it is similar to the 2009. My goal this year is to place 1st in Pro Womens. I am going to keep going  at racing for a long time,” smiles JC. “ I have been racing motocross all summer and at the gym every day after work. A bad accident in motocross this summer left me with a hair line fracture in my vertebrae which did affect my training.”
JC was really affected by the recent tragic injury of Blair Morgan. “ It is really sad, too bad- he was a really good racer. Blair Morgan and Toni Hakkanin brought the sport to where it is and we can’t forget that. JC always idolized Blair. We were at an  awards dinner and watched a Blair Morgan video. JCsaid Dad I’ve got it, I know how Blair rides and she went from 4th to 1st and never looked back,” said Lana Hupe.” There risk in every sport.”
This year the team will also do Red Lake and Dryden with the Ultimate Snocross Series.  “  We are gong to race all the womens Nationals. Arctic Cat has helped us. This year JC is more focused. We have a better frame of mind overall as a team.” said father of JC, Dale
Hupe.
